Uruk General Contracting & Maintenance LLC is a UAE national construction company headquartered in Abu Dhabi. Established in 2004, the firm operates across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as a main contractor, delivering construction, refurbishment, renovation and maintenance projects for civil, structural and building work — supported by an in-house capability in finishing systems, epoxy coatings, and external works.

The company has built for ruling family members, private clients, banks and government bodies. Recent and ongoing relationships include Musanada, Provis, First Abu Dhabi Bank, Abu Dhabi Commercial Engineering, Department of Culture and Tourism, Emirates Transport, and a number of Sheikhs and high-net-worth individuals across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

Uruk is small by design. Every project is delivered through directly hired, long-tenured site teams under the personal supervision of the Managing Director. The objective is consistency: the same standard on the tenth project that was set on the first.

Quality is our motive. Specifications and drawings are our guide. The consultant is our beacon. The client's satisfaction is our objective. And progress is our policy.

Why the name matters

Five thousand
years of building well.

UGC

Uruk, in southern Mesopotamia, is widely held to be the first true city — the place where the practice of organised building begins.

The first walls were raised at Uruk. We chose the name because we understand what it asks of us.

We are a modern Abu Dhabi contractor, but the name is deliberate. Uruk — the ancient Sumerian city — is one of the earliest sites of monumental construction in human record. We carry the name as a standard rather than a story: build with intent, build to last, finish what you begin.

The Sumerian relief in our mark is taken from a fragment depicting the ziggurats of Uruk. It is a reminder, on every drawing and every site, of the depth of the tradition we work in.

What we keep, every project

Three things
we will not move on.

i.

Consistency

The standard we set on day one of a project is the standard we hold on the last day of the defects period. We do not deliver a different Uruk to different clients.

ii.

Integrity

Our pricing is transparent, our programmes are honest, and the work that is covered up is built to the same standard as the work that is on display. The client owns the building; we owe them the truth about it.

iii.

Finish

Finishing well is the single hardest part of construction. Punch lists, snags, tolerances, fit and seal — the last 5% of a project is where we spend disproportionate attention. We do not leave site early.
